We started Black Bolt because roofers were still adding up line items with a calculator, re-checking claim PDFs, and retyping inspection notes. There’s a better way.
WHY WE BUILT THIS
We kept seeing the same thing — roofing companies running $2M, $5M, $10M operations on manual math. Line items added up with a calculator. Claim PDFs checked and re-checked. Inspection data typed in a second time. Not because they were behind. Because nobody had built them a better way.
The cost showed up in the same places every time: items the insurance estimate left out, supplement items nobody filed, and jobs that took longer to close than they should.
We thought: what if the software followed the same path the work does — claim to quote — and every number you entered once flowed everywhere it needed to go?
So that’s what we did. Black Bolt turns claim PDFs into decisions, inspections and measurements into estimates, and missed items into revenue.

Jared co-owns Tejas Roofworks + Restoration in Rockwall, Texas — a residential and commercial roofing company doing storm damage restoration and claim management across North Texas. He is not a software person who researched roofing. He runs the crews, files the supplements, and chases the carriers that Black Bolt is built to handle. Every module in this product started as a problem that cost him a job, a margin, or a weekend.
